Many years had passed since I graduated from UP Baguio, well, back then it was still UP College Baguio. When I left the Philippines, my mother had passed on most of the books that I used when I was studying to other students who did not have the economic means to buy those books. This, I believe, included my beloved Calculus book by Loius Leithold.

It seems this “you know you’re from (add name of place here) if…” is spreading like wildfire on the Internet. Now, they have a version of Baguio, which I found, er, interesting. I was tempted to post another list like, “You know you’re getting old if…” but this list makes for a better read.

We launched Sayote Republic about 3 months ago and we believe that it had been successful and getting the UP Baguio alumni more united — and excited — than ever. The blog has since been receiving constant hits, averaging 24 unique visitors per day with 62 page loads. To date, Sayote Republic has had 6,034 page loads and 2,050 unique visitors.
