How much do the books for an incoming freshman cost in UP Baguio?hoping for your response.thanks.
  • James
Books for General Education subjects are suggested but not required. You may opt to borrow from the library or have your readings photocopied there. However, in Math subjects, it is essential to have your own book.

    Has the CAC been abolished?

I am just wondering why the College of Arts and Communication’s (CAC) profile did not appear on the UP Baguio website when the colleges of Science and Social Sciences and even the Institute of Management appeared on the website. I find it unsettling. Has the CAC been abolished? I hope to high heavens that this did not happen. Will anyone shed light on this concern? Thanks

    I always remember JOJO ROSUELLO.
  • Mark
Hi Kat! I'm a 2008 graduate. By the way, an interesting fact: Sir Rolly helped me land in on my current and second job. His generous feedback and favorable comments about my work ethic to the HR manager helped nailed my first and my present jobs. So, if in any way you meet him please extend my warmest thanks to him.

There are still so many anecdotes I could share about Sir Rolly. Mind you, I could even write a book out of it.
  • Lei
Hahaha, can't get enough of Sir Rolly? Become a fan at Facebook and share anecdotes there: http://www.facebook.com/search/?q=Rolly+Fernandez&init=quick Even ma'am babeth lolarga shares interesting facts and photos. :3

BTW, it's sad that Sir Rolly says he might not teach next semester, and so is Sir Jawo.
  • Mark
Yeah, I remember this. The news writing exercise (or manual layouting)always comes at the nick of time. Funny, right? After Sir Rolly have said and done everything, he'd stare at his watch (remember the stick figures that pop out from his watch!!!)and say " O, may time pa tayo. Pwede pa mag quiz." Then, quiz we did.
But what really stuck to my mind was what Sir Rolly said about management. He said "yelling managers, editors-in-chief, or bosses are already dying breeds." Admittedly, that helped me in my finding a work. I always bear on my mind what Sir Rolly said when I get scared of job hunting and the prospect of a nasty boss. And who could ever forget or not remember, that Sir Rolly practices what he preaches. I never, in my four years stay in UP Baguio, did hear Sir Rolly raising his voice against anyone. Nor did I hear he has a history of doing so. He's always mild-mannered, a soft speaker, a paragon of humility, and the epitome of an ideal boss. It's just a shame that I wasn't able to work under his tutelage.
